Holiday apartment for rent between Florence and Chianti

It is in the town of Grassina off the Via Chiantigiana (Please go to click here ), on the ground floor of a "palazzo" built in the 1920s. There is a small courtyard in the back that you can reach from the bedroom. Because this apartment is on the ground floor, it stays wonderfully cool in the high heat of the summer months. It also has central heating, for the cool and damp winter months.

There are two main rooms in this 55 sq. meter/600 sq. feet apartment:

a spacious living room fully furnished, tv with satellite and Wi-fi internet available

a kitchenette fully equipped for all your cooking needs. includes dishwasher

a large bedroom with two twin beds/or one queen bed. There is a staircase that leads up to the bathroom and to the door that opens on to the courtyard. Very characteristic!

It is a perfect space for two people, and will sleep up to four with a sofa bed (upon request).

Note: for long-term stays, particular for professors, scholars, students, doctors etc. I can offer you my "studiolo," my little study that is sort of attached to the apartment but has a separate entrance. There is a library, large desk, sofa and wardrobe. I have a decent collection of Italian and English books. The study is peaceful and makes a pleasant place to do research.

The apartment is located in the heart of Tuscany just 3 miles/5 chilometers outside of Florence in the pretty little town of Grassina, in the Township of Bagno a Ripoli click here. It is located in a quiet side street off the famous "Strada del vino Chianti:" the Chianti wine road, Via Chiantigiana.

In less than 15 minutes from the apartment you arrive in Chianti and in 20 minutes you reach the famous Chianti town, Greve. The apartment is located 5 minutes from the "Autostrada" entrance as well as the "Fi-Si" (Florence-Siena) highway, and in only one hour you can be in Siena or San Gimignano. In 25 minutes by bus (bus stop is across the street and buses run until midnight) you can be in the city of Florence. Or, you can drive into Florence and park in one of the many parking garages for the day.
